Music

Lots of Neue Deutsche Härte, lots of techno. Also some synthpop, rap and metal. CTRL+F to sort for genres until I implement something better (which might be never).
Didn't include artists like ABBA, Britney Spears, Eminem, 2pac because you already know them. WIP

German

  • Rammstein
    Genres: Neue Deutsche Härte
Pretty much all their songs are bangers. Currently controversial because of rape allegations.

  • Brutalismus 3000
Genres: electronic music, gabber, hardcore, techno
Love them so much. One of my favorite artists atm.

  • U96
    Genres: techno
    Absolute classic.

  • Kollegah
    Genres: rap, gangsta rap
One of the best German rappers imo. Infinitum and John Gotti are some of his best songs.

  • Spongebozz
    Genres: rap, gangsta rap
Gangsta rap Spongebob. Included because of the meme potential.

  • SSIO
    Genres: rap, hip-hop
    Another rapper.

  • Unheilig
    Genres: Neue Deutsche Härte, pop
More pop than the other NDH bands on this list. But slaps.

  • Schattenmann
    Genres: Neue Deutsche Härte, pop

  • Eisbrecher
    Genres: Neue Deutsche Härte

  • Kraftklub
    Genres: rock, punk-rock
Solid punk-rock band. Often political lyrics (duh).

  • Falco
Genres: pop, rock, Neue Deutsche Welle
    German/Austrian classic. RIP.

  • Chuzpe
Genres: Neue Deutsche Welle, New Wave, postpunk
Lesser known Austrian band from the 80s. Sooooo underrated and sadly not many songs are on Spotify.

  • IFA Wartburg
    Genres: synthpop, folk music
Included because of the goofy concept. It's a Swedish band (included here because singing in German) from the 90s making music that sounds like East German propaganda music. Saw their music on Tiktok a while ago, but no, it's not actual propaganda music (not from the GDR and most definitely not from Nazi Germany).

International

  • DJ Mad Dog
    Genres: gabber, techno, hardcore
Great music, again. Gives energy buff.

  • Susumu Hirasawa
Genres: synthpop, art pop, electronic, experimental
He is Japanese, but doesn't really fit with the JPop bands/singers so included him here. Watched Paprika (2006) only because of his music. Wish I could experience him live once because his concerts look wild. Absolute icon. Not much of his music is on Spotify.

Very catchy and funky. Bar Bar Bar and Saturday Night are my favorite songs.

  • Babymetal
    Genres: JPop, kawaii metal, metal
Love them + their style. Gives +20% energy.

  • Dreamcatcher
    Genres: KPop, rock, pop
    Characteristic are the guitar riffs.

  • Atarashii Gakko!
    Genres: jpop, rock
Usually dressed in school uniforms, have this "rebellish" concept.

  • One Ok Rock
    Genres: jpop, rock
Classic. Ketsuraku Automation is not (yet) on Spotify sadly.

  • Covenant
